THE JOURNEY
Some people discover who they are. I was always becoming one.
At 7, I was performing in theatre plays — learning before I knew I was learning. How a story lands. How a room feels when something true is said out loud. How silence, held long enough, becomes more powerful than any word.
Music came next. And with it — an ear for rhythm, for feeling, for the things that move people before they understand why. A different language, but the same impulse: to make something that resonates.
Writing was always there. It never left.
When college arrived, so did the film society. 48-hour festivals. 72-hour festivals. Ideas conceived, shot, and edited under pressure — with no room for doubt and no time for hesitation. This is where the technical side of filmmaking became instinct. Not theory. Not classroom. Real sets, real problems, real deadlines.
And then came the decision that made everything before it make sense.
I left a career in technology and walked toward the only thing I had actually been doing my entire life — telling stories.
Deep Story Works is my attempt to stop dividing myself. To do the one thing I was always doing anyway — just with more honesty, more purpose, and more courage than before.
